9 hours to go and it's Christmas! Yahoo!

Yodiiiii =)

hold it!

It's funny how God shows His encouragement.

I have been feeling a bit depressed the past couple of days. Maybe it's the time of the month, or maybe I just choose to be affected by certain events taking place that in some ways, will impact a life-changing decision that I have to make this month. They say that we should take the road less traveled but sometimes, I find myself wanting to take the easy way out. Then maybe, just maybe, I can find peace.

I don't want to see anyone this week. I don't want to meet up with friends, to even meet up with my boyfriend. I am depressed. I declare it. I just want to give in to this feeling and wallow in depression and misery. Then I know, I will be okay.

I need this time alone to be with my God. So, let's leave it at that.

*sigh*

even santa fell in love
everybody needs someone to come home to
after the longest day
even santa fell in love
and she's the only one he wants to come back to
when the toys are put away

Good times....

Joy, Seanta, Nor, Erica at Starbucks (Cubao) after watching the Philippine Idol Finals Night. Husbands not included in this picture. We miss Jean! =( When I look at this picture, I am so amazed. Friendships come and go but this group is here to stay! I thank God for good friends!

home alone

I have been sick for two days now. One would think it's nice getting the day off from work but I'm really bummed I'm at home. I feel so weak, nauseated, and I've been throwing up since yesterday! I hate it. I NEED to get well - fast. My lovey's coming home (finally) and I don't want him to see me like this. On second thought, I think it would be nice if he'd take care of me (hmmm...)

I was in Cebu last week with Nathan and maybe that's where I got this bug. Aaaargh. Anyway, I was witness to one of Cebu's many rallies against the US (i.e. Daniel Smith, Asean Summit). Nathan was really concerned and afraid. We were downtown buying dvds and he literally hid behind me...to think that he stands 6 feet tall and all 5'1" of me protecting him! Such is life.

What I enjoyed most about this trip was my private time in my hotel room. We stayed at this new hotel called Parklane and it was cozy and clean and i loved it. Here's a picture of my room and Christmas tree lobby! 14 days to go before Christmas day! 4 days to go and Cesar will be here! Yodiiiii =)

I also enjoyed eating at my favorite Italian resto in Cebu - Giuseppe! Pizza, tomato soup, spinach ravioli...yummy! And we tried out a Spanish resto too. And I had steak! I think I gained weight (lots of it) in just 3 days...uh oh. I'll never hear the end of this from CLP. He'll scold me again for eating too much. Oh well. Aaaargh.

Again, such is life.

engg-ots =)

moment
= a way of describing a force acting at a distance. Okay, I didn't get that one. What the heck. A moment is a moment. I like happy moments with my engineer =)

bounce = apparently, they can be found in floors. no bounce means comfortable walks. okay, i got that.

kip = 1,000 pounds.

reaction = amount of weight contributed to a particular location. Rmax means maximum reaction. Now Rmin....is this even an engineering term?

reinforcements
(my fave!) = support or additional assistance. but in engineering technical jargon, i think it refers to those steel rods that you see on rooftops of unfinished buildings. something like that...or maybe inside posts and columns? sheesh. i don't remember!

basically, structural engineers make sure that the buildings perform well. something like that. and they make sure they don't fall down.

oh, i have a lot to learn. big time.

comfort food and some

I was feeling sad yesterday because I found out I have to leave for Cebu on Wednesday. My Australian Principal will be arriving on that day and he wants to visit the provinces. I had my Wednesday all planned and now I'm left with zero days to take care of my legal duties. I have been busy the past weeks and I didn't have the time to take care of everything. Now, I'm losing time and Cesar's arriving on Friday. Why, oh why?

And so the day went by. It was all a blur. I rushed to TGIF's Galleria to discuss our company support for their grand opening this week. Here's a picture of sad little me, my derma-burned-peeling face stuck inside one BIG martini glass (18 oz!) But blessings do come from up above and we were given their infamous MudPie! Wow-wowee! Nothing like chocolate to cheer you up!

And so after the meeting, I went home feeling high-strung and happy and I totally forgot all my worries. Then came the text message that I was waiting for. More requirements, more days needed. And I was sad all over again. Good thing it was lunch break for Cesar and hearing his voice comforted me.

And then I prayed. I prayed hard. Then went to bed.

This morning, during our Mancom meeting, I went inside the conference room to fill out my leave form. Lo and behold! God never fails! One of my Titas in the office sat beside me. Hi, hellos, what's up with you exchanges. Then I told her. Then she called her husband (who happens to love me too) and yes! No more worries, no more delays. He will take care of everything. All the legal matters that must be addressed. Oh, I am soooo happy. I can feel God's love for me! Once again, He provided!

So, it's a happy day! God's blessings pouring in.

No need for chocolate. =)

Donuts, anyone?

What's a "Krispy Kreme?"

When people talk about a Krispy Kreme doughnut, they're usually referring to our signature treat: the Original Glazed. Made from a recipe dating back to the 1930s, our Original Glazed doughnuts have helped set us apart. And if you haven't had an Original Glazed HOT off the line, you need to try one!

Krispy Kreme finally made it to the Philippines! Check out the flagship store at City Center, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.

See you there! =)

Borat Sagdiyev, Kazakhstan's sixth most famous man and a leading journalist from the State run TV network, travels from his home in Kazakhstan to the U.S. to make a documentary. On his cross-country road-trip, Borat meets real people in real situations with hysterical consequences.

Some may find this film offensive. So keep an open mind. I think it's just his style to really send out his message to the world. This film actually gave me a lot of perspective about certain issues. Got me thinking....

This is a must read for couples who are planning to get married/engaged anytime soon. Cesar and I have been religiously answering the questions in this book and we are finding out so much about each other! The book has questions about parenting, money matters, spirituality, emotional and mental capabilities - just about everything a couple needs to know when considering spending life together. I just love this book and I enjoy having "sessions" with my honey. =)

We're currently on question #16. Hopefully, we finish everything before Christmas.

So grab a copy, everyone! Happy reading!

*Newsflash*

Yes, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....but not for our brothers and sisters in Albay (my mother's hometown). Please include them in your prayers. Typhoon (Reming) Durian hit the Philippines a few days ago and is feared to have killed more than 1,000 people.

Let's all say a prayer and extend whatever help we could give.

gidiyap, gidiyap!

This is how my cubicle looks like. Okay, I know the small tree with the big christmas ball looks pathetic but what the heck, I love it =)

I can't wait for Christmas this year. Oh, it will be so different. I can't wait to spend Christmas with Cesar! We will have so much fun, I know it. God is good! I'm so blessed!

=)

Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart...

sweetcorn surprise
