I need you like water
Like breath, like rain
I need you like mercy
From Heaven's gate
There's a freedom in your arms
That carries me through
I need you
Like breath, like rain
I need you like mercy
From Heaven's gate
There's a freedom in your arms
That carries me through

We celebrated our very first Pinoy Thanksgiving - complete with turkey! I felt like Joey in Friends.... really, really good food!
So many things to be thankful for - especially good times spent with the people you hold close to your heart - eating good food and playing Blurt! and Cranium!
Happy weekend everyone!

doctor, doctor!
Just got back from the hospital. I was once again rushed (or should I say, I rushed myself) to the ER - this time in Medical City last night.
I feel so drained. They inserted medicine through my veins! It felt so painful.
I'm beginning to feel that this year's gonna end with one big major surgery.
Oh well.
On a lighter note, Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'm just thankful I'm still alive.

This picture shows Clarissa and I with our loving YDWTL Sponsors (Jay, Feng, and Allen). I can not thank them enough for making me go through this three day experience. Iris has a hand in it too! She is such a precious friend.
I'm still feeling a bit overwhelmed so I don't think I can get into the details of what happened over the weekend. I'm just glad that I have a number now attached to my name -- YDWTL@24.
Coolness.
From this moment on, it's me and you
The road of life ahead, we'll journey through
And though it may be windin' , we'll go right on remindin'
That we both have each other
Cherish every moment, darling, hold me fast
Live each day as though it were the last
The only time and place that we are certain of
My love, is here and now...
must love dogs
just chillin'
This weekend turned out to be super fun!
Saturday - last day of the UK Trade Show so I had to pass by the office. Surprisingly, almost everyone was there. It was like a busy Monday, but this time - everybody was wearing shorts. I ended up staying in the office until 9pm so I slept over in Makati.
Sunday - went to Church then we were off to the spa! It was Iris' treat --- a full spa treatment for Kat and I. We all smelled like coffee after. Next time, I'll try the chocolate treatment - they use Hershey's! Yummy! Then I went back to Makati to catch a movie with Patrick and Kat. I haven't been going to the cinemas for so long and I was so excited! I think the last movie I saw was around 6-8 months back. I got home around 1am when I realized that I forgot to buy Nestea Iced Tea for tomorrow's Sales Rally. Thank God for 24-hour groceries. I went to Cost-U-Less and I ended up buying more than just iced tea. There's a lot to be said, doing your grocery shopping at 2am. No long lines, no noisy customers, no rush at all. Check out LC Bacon Spread's new packaging -- it's so cute! Hehe. Just fooling around.

Now here I am checking my mails and blogging though I'm off to dreamland in a few minutes. I have a big week ahead of me -- quizzes, cases, online reports -- the works!
I'm just happy I smell like coffee!

Your Love, Oh Lord
Reaches to the heavens
Your faithfulness
Stretches to the skies
Your righteousness
Is like the mighty mountain
Your justice flows like the ocean's tide
I will lift my voice
To worship You my King
And I will find my strength
In the shadow of Your wings
Reaches to the heavens
Your faithfulness
Stretches to the skies
Your righteousness
Is like the mighty mountain
Your justice flows like the ocean's tide
I will lift my voice
To worship You my King
And I will find my strength
In the shadow of Your wings

100th
While working on the "clean my room" program, I chanced upon my old organizer - a gift I received from my dad when I was 15. Going over the pages, I couldn't help but smile as I read the letters, notes, post-its, and the thoughts that I wrote down as the years go by. So it's just right that I post here one of the entries that I found in this little notebook. It's a list of the things that makes me happy. I did my best to categorize them and while going through the list, I realized that the 15 year old me is still lying around inside. Some of the things on the list - I barely remember why they made me happy, some - I remember so clearly and just reading the words make me feel the experience all over again. And it's just timing that I share this since it's my 100th post! This list is posted here as I found it in my organizer. Unedited.
What makes me happy?

I stopped writing in this notebook late last year because I somehow misplaced it. But now that it's back with me, I plan to continue the list. It's good exercise. Makes one realize how to appreciate all the blessings that we receive.
You guys should try it.

it is finished.
It's 4am and we just finished setting up our booth for the UK Trade Show. This is how it turned out:
Very Scottish, eh?
I'm so tired but I know that if I close my eyes, I'll wake up at 12nn. Good thing I'm sleeping over in Makati tonight.
Got to go. Rest for two hours then I'm off to Intercon again for the opening ceremonies at 8am.
Aaaarrggh.

another bad day
Everything's messed up today. Maybe this week's jinxed. I don't know.
I'm still here in the office waiting for my set up crew. Everyone's invited to attend

from November 10-12, 2005, 10am to 6pm!
We'll be showcasing the world's finest Single Malt Scotch Whiskeys!
Come and check us out. I worked hard on the booth design. Plus, free drinks on me!
I think they're finally here. It's scary sitting here in my cubicle. I think I can hear someone typing. Really freaky.
Gotta go and set up that booth. Hope it turns out a-okay!

I'll be there when you're sad about something
I'll make jokes and turn your frown upside down
I'll be there when you don't have someone to talk to
Just to listen to every word you'll say
I'll travel at the speed of light whenever you call me
I'm at your service
24/7
For you, my only you
For you, my precious you
For you, my only you...

coffee statistics
I'm taking a breather from all the reading I've been doing. All these formulas and cases are driving me nuts. Maybe I'll just sing a song...
You are my only one
You are my only one
Well i'm telling you now you're my only one
I've got two long legs like to carry me
Two sharp eyes to look for the light
Two strong arms to hold on tight
Two good friends on my left and right
But only one, only one.......
woohoo!!
Taken for granted and pushed aside
All that it wanted was a place to run and hide
Missing message in a hollow tree
Hidden deep inside a memory
And the memory seems like dreams
Hundreds of hopes in the past
Nevertheless it was never the last
Hold on strong or you fade out fast
And only one only one.......yeah!
Or maybe I'll take a short nap...
Darn it. My phone's ringing!
I have officially turned down a job offer today. The package was pretty good, but I just don't see myself doing what it is that they want me to do (hmmm...).
Back to hitting the books! I can't believe I'm saying that again.
This is harder than I imagined.
Aaarrggh.

She runs to the mailbox
On that bright summers day
Found a letter from her son
In a war far away
He spoke of the weather
And good friends that he'd made
Said I'd been thinking 'bout dad
And the life that he had
Thats why I'm here today
And that the end he said
You are what I'm fighting for
It was the first of the letters from war
She started writing
Your good and your brave
What a father that you'll be someday
Bring him home
Bring him safe
She wrote everynight as she prayed
Late in December
A day she'll not forget
Oh her tears stained the paper
With every word that she read
It said I was up on a hill
I was out there alone
When the shots all rang out
And bombs were exploding
And thats when I saw him
He came back to me
And though he was captured
A man set me free
And that man was your son
He asked me to write to you
I told him i would oh I swore
It was the last of the letters from war
And she prayed he was living
Kept on believing and wrote every night just to say
Then two years later
Autumn leaves all around
A car pulled in the driveway
And she fell to the ground
And out stepped a captain
Where her boy used to stand
Said mom I'm following orders
From all of your letters
And I've come home again
He ran into hold her
And dropped all his bags on the floor
Holding all of her letters from war
On that bright summers day

first day funk
Today is UP's first day of registration and I was there to experience it all again! Being with friends, walking along the familiar places, falling in line (really loooong queues!) and eating my classic UP breakfast in Casaa - bacon and Milo! This day was spent reminiscing about the good and bad times spent in the State U. I'm all giddy with happiness though I feel so tired because I had to go to the Registrar's Office and PNB minimum 4 times because of the "system". I have forgotten how it's like in UP when it's reg day. Makes me wish RVC was still around. Haha.
Gosh, I suddenly found myself walking down memory lane. I have missed UP so much and I'm glad I'm back.
Little bits and pieces.... little boy and little angel, the oblation bridge, vinzon's and McDo sundae, getting to know each other, CBA, the capsule, the Cafe, Business Econ stint, more than you'll ever know, the fireflies, CS, Math, Nigs starry night, overnights, tambayan, Green House, Cool King....the list just goes on and on! It was also nice to see the old reliables in UP. Not much has changed. I hope that everyone there is creating memories just as my friends and I did.
it's that little souvenir of a colorful year
which makes me smile inside
so I cynically, cynically say the world is that way
surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise
here's where the story ends
surprise!
Anami threw a surprise birthday party for Trondz earlier today @ Astoria Plaza! It was a lot of fun, dressing up the place, puffing on balloons, and seeing the look on Trondz's face was priceless.
Happy birthday, dear friend! Loved the cake!

heaven and friends
Last night was spent with my UP friends: Liz (my ka-biyahero), Iris (my churchmate), Christine (my new blogger friend), Gen (future Emirates employee), and Giselle (with the normal cut engagement ring)! Finally eating at the infamous Heaven and Eggs resto was well worth all the wait. The food was good (lots of healthy stuff), the service was not bad, the house sodas were refreshing, and of course, the company of friends was oh-so-heavenly! We went through bridal magazines and exchanged crazy ideas for Giselle's upcoming wedding. Congratulations Giselle and Jin! We look forward to the wedding next year. Although, I have to admit...we look forward MORE to the bridal shower.
This could be fun.
traffic jam
Traffic,
Too bad
Nakaka-bad trip!
Manila traffic sucks. Construction going on along Edsa at 6pm!?!?!
Well i left my job about 5 o'clock
It took fifteen minutes go three blocks
Just in time to stand in line
With a freeway looking like a parking lot

Damn, this traffic jam!
I feel for the motorists. I'm one of the lucky ones. Thank God I'm taking the MRT these days.

kids' day out
Today, I spent the day with my pamangkins. We went to Tiendesitas, Cost-U-Less, Fort Bonifacio, and of course, SM Megamall. We all agreed on favorite hang outs - the supermarket and the toy store. I always feel happy when I'm in those places. They've brought back my childhood favorite toys! This will form part of my Christmas wish list!
Check out the latest in puzzles - go 4D! The kids and I had so much fun figuring out how to put the pieces together. Coolness!
I have to tuck them in so I have to say goodbye for now! Oh, I hate this. How come I have school and they don't?
Aaaarrgggh.

In a house upon a hill
She was there with time to kill
She lived a life she'd only dreamed
The life was never what it seemed
To all her friends that she’d ignored
She denied she was bored
She had no time for dancing, no time for dancing
But the clock upon the wall
That was ticking in the hall
Always reminded her
That life was going on as well
But she was happy and she would swear
She wouldn't change a thing
She was there with time to kill
She lived a life she'd only dreamed

roadtrip

I planned on staying home this long weekend. To just bum around and probably catch up on my TV series watching. Then Liz invited me to go to Sagada with her. I thought, "Why not?".
Here's a short blow by blow (quiet, green minds! hehe) account of what happened:
Friday - Saturday (Oct 28-29) - we took the 1130pm bus going to Baguio. arrived in Baguio by 5am. took the 6am bus going to Sagada. arrived in Sagada 1030am.
We rested for a while, had good lunch, then we decided to play tour guide. We bought a map and looked for the recommended sights on our own. I thought Sagada was a get-away place but surprisingly, I saw a couple of friends from UP, one common friend of porcupine and I (porcupine thoughts - running away from the places and things that make me think of you...), and an officemate (ex-officemate) from PWS. Well, we probably had all the same idea. Liz and I walked around 3km without any success. We need a tour guide, a real one.
Sunday (Oct 30) - woke up early and met up with a couple of friends.
This day is bookmarked for caves exploration! It was fun but it was soooo tiring! My body is literally screaming in pain! I realized that I didn't put in enough hours in the gym for this! It's like working out for the first time mulitiplied by a hundred! But the sights were very interesting and breathtaking. I'll post more pictures as soon as I get them from my friends.
Monday-Tuesday (Oct 31-Nov 1) - took the 9am bus going to Baguio. arrived in Baguio by 2pm. we stayed in SM Baguio for a while to eat and rest. then, took the 9pm bus going to Manila. arrived in Manila 1am.To sum it up, I would definitely recommend a trip to Sagada. It was a fun and exciting experience. But now, I'm so beat that I have to sign off ! Enjoy the rest of the vacation week (for the employed only). I have classes tomorrow!
Aaarggh.
